The time has come to move my creations out of my house and into a space where they can be seen and purchased outright. My business has been, thus far, totally online. But that means maintaining extra pieces of furniture in my house, taking up needed space, until bought. So I started looking for an outlet where I can take the furniture and display it so that people and see and touch it. Everything is still for sale on the website, which means that folks who cannot make it to southeastern Virginia can still purchase.
"Market Street and General Store" at 304 High Street in Olde Towne Portsmouth, VA, is getting ready to open, and that is where I have taken 2 dressers, a cocktail table, and two jewelry chests. They are currently on display there although this store has not yet officially opened. To anyone in the Hampton Roads area, please feel free to take a Saturday, visit the store, and take advantage of the local Farmers Market located down the block. The doors are definitely open on Saturdays until the buildout is complete when they will have an official opening.
Online sales will continue, but the larger dressers and chests of drawers will likely be placed in the Portsmouth store, at least for the time being.
