I got the bug to paint furniture after tackling an old dresser in my home. It was old when we acquired it, and it was in our house for a number of years, getting older and more tattered every year. I had seen a website that sells really unique and interesting pieces of furniture, whimsical and elegant all at the same time. Having never taken on such a project in my life, I decided to sink or swim with this old dresser, and created a somewhat copied version of the fun, elegant, and whimsical piece I saw on a website. It turned out well. And I never stopped. By the way, retirement was less than 6 months earlier!
