It has been fun finding cute little bistros to catch a delicious cup of coffee, driving through the historic Revolutionary War battlefields, and walking along the beautiful York River. I live in an area that reeks with American history - from both the Revolutionary and the Civil Wars, where slavery was introduced and where it categorically ended with the contraband camp at Fort Monroe, and a huge number of "firsts." The city I live in, Hampton VA, is about 20 miles from the Historic Triangle of Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Jamestown. Anyone visiting us gets as much history experience as they can cram in!
